That would BE Hard water !
Actually salt is used to soften water. So technically you couldn't call it hard water if it's loaded with salt, right? It could be calcium, iron or any other myriad of water soluble minerals/pollutants. If it's an automatic sprinkler hitting his car, just imagine how corroded or crappy the inside of those lines probably are after years of operation. Could be a lawn treatment chemical also? Salt, I doubt it, unless he lives right on the beach.

Crap in the water making water spots just sucks balls.
darkness, I hope you can get them out bro, good luck!!

cctmobiledetail: thanks for the heads up on the water spot removal chems, will probably come in handy eventually.

Actually the op was describing what it looked like , it's highly unlikely that his apt complex uses salt water that would kill his grass and defeat the purpose in watering it. So his problem is most likely calcium deposits , of which the above hard water spot remover WILL solve his problem ! He would be well advised to contact his apt complex staff , and have them pay for the removal or at least relocate his parking space away from the sprinklers, if not I highly recommend him getting a car cover to keep the spots from reappearing after the next lawn watering session. Otherwise buy lots of Hard water spot remover and wax so you can do it daily, since they probably water the grass daily...

This is what I use to get the water spot on my truck Wax As-U-Dry®
You just apply it when the truck is still wet work great for me. I am pretty sure there is better product out there but I like this one the most

Thats a spray wax , and is fine to use if the truck is wet the first time from hard water. If it already has hard water spots, it won't do a thing.
