Just Spray Paint it?
I live on Long Island (New York) so my truck was and willbe constantly bombarded with salt and water. Ive noticed some light rust on parts under neath. I was just wondering what the remedy is? Should I just sand it down to make it nice and level and give it a couple coats of spray paint to stop it from eating everything?

Since I'm in Cali I dont get bombarded with salt. But I've sprayed Rustoleum over certain parts (frame, lca, swaybar) that have light scuffs and rust. Just wiped off excess dirt and sprayed over the rust.

Naval jelly for the rust and Rustolem satin for the finish coat
Naval jelly for the rust and Rustolem satin for the finish coat. Flat paint will mar and scratch to easily, gloss will show too many imperfections, satin is a blend between the two and works the best !
