Jet-Dry to get rid of water spots?

Do you think it would be safe to use Jet-Dry in one of these devices that you attach to your garden hose to despense things like fertlizer? I was thinking that this could be applied as your final step after the car/truck is washed before you wipe it dry.
Who wants to be the first to say 'yea or nay' by using it on a vehicle?

Speaking for me, I'd never do that. Dish cleaning products of any kind are likely to contain chemicals that aren't kind to a clearcoat finish. I don't know what's in Jet-Dry, but it's designed to remove anything from the surface that enables water to bead...on a vehicle, that would be wax. I say no way.

Guess I will re-post what I posted yesterday....I wouldn't suggest using it. They make alot of good cleaning products...Why use something that hasn't been tested for use on vehicles.....

I wouldn't personally use it. I like to just let the water hose flow the water off the paint and it leaves a lot less water behind to dry with my towel. Many people make the mistake of spraying the soap off and you end up with a bunch of water spots or beads spread out all over the paint and glass.

Dish soap is commonly used to strip the old wax coating off your vehicle to prep it for a full treatment of new wax.

Get the Mr. Clean Car care kit. It is like Jet Dry for car washing. It is a car washing system that allows you to rinse off the car with their bottle/aplicator nozzel and it drys spot free with no drying required and supposedly no water spots. My babysitters son uses it alot on his tricked out Blue Corrola Type S and it always looks very good.

Are you saying you leave the soap on the paint?

BTW!!! I use the ABSORBER to dry my vehicles. It dries out and gets hard unless you keep it in the container, but if it does you just re-wet it and it's as soft as ever. I've had mine (only 1) for over 7 years! Still works like new!
These things are great and will dry w/o spots! You can get them @ Wal-mart

I explained what I do before that sentence. It's like letting the water flow over the paint without any pressure. You might have to remove the nozzle to do it that way unless you have a nozzle like the one pictured.
