Indoor fragrance / deodorant

I'm looking for the best and long lasting indoor fragance or deodorant for our trucks. I've tried countless but they won't last long (Pine trees, odor cans, sprays, those that you put on the AC vents) and nothing! Need to know opinions of brands and the best locations to locate it. Thanks.

Wafers normally work the longest and you just place them under your seats.

If you're looking for more of a "deodorant" than a "fragrance", you might try FeBreeze (local supermarket cleaning supplies aisle). It's pretty darn good at getting rid of odors.

Febreeze is ok, but doesn't last too long......it is easier to find and in fact their is a febrese designed specially for cars ... find it at auto parts stores. If you are going to use febreeze or another spray...make sure you not only spray the carpet , but directly into the vents and unscrew the cap and pour it into the defroster vents.

They used to make and you might be able to find this stuff that was advertised as " One drop clears an 8x8 room " , I used to find it at head shops back in the 70's ......Once I had a buddy blow chunks of whiskey puke in my '69 GTO , and nothing smells worse than whiskey puke , except for maybe cat piss, etc... / Anyway , I stopped by a local head shop, bought this stuff that came in what looked like a model airplane paint bottle, and it said room deodorizer. So as I was opening it up, my "Buddy" hears Zepplin come on the Radio in the car, and hits my arm as he's trying to turn up the volume and he mae me spill the whole bottle of orange scent ( yes the one drop stuff ) ... well it tokk all of about half a millisecond before both windows went down fast , then it smelled like Oranges for about a month and a half afterwards, so strong for the first 3 weeks that I had to drive down the road with the windows open and my head out the window......

Anyway , after that long disertation, that stuff may be found by searching the internet or your local head shop !

Then beyond that theirs this stuff :

"The primary benefits we perceive for your new product are that it is, first and foremost, more effective at destroying odor than any other product we have used. … We definitely plan to use this new product on decomposed bodies that come into the Lake County Coroner's Office."

“I used your NanoZorb product on 2 gentlemen who drowned in a canal while fishing in Alsip, IL. They were found 2 ˝ days later, in the middle of the summer heat…they were going to be waked. To my satisfaction, almost 100% of the odor related to the decomposition was eliminated.”

my girlfriends dog puked in my civic that i had before the fronty, and i had to take the seat out and clean barf up under the seat, but evern after shampooing and everything it still didnt smell fresh so i made what i now call a "odor bomb" i got a small can of some Oust Deoderizer and turn my cars blower on full blast, on RECIRCULATE and then taped the button down, put it on the floor on the passenger side, cracked the windows about and inch and walked away, i let it go till the can was done, and then some, and after that, it smelled fn great in there, not to strong (it didnt have much of a senct to begin with) and i used to smoke in it too, took that smell out, it was awesome. so now everyonce in a while when wash the fronty i get some AXE body spray or whatever and do that and it makes the truck smell real good, and you dont have to use the whole can just about a 5-10 second spray. Im actually talkin with a guy about makin a product to do this, sort of like a bug bomb but for your car, since it cleans all the vents, and gets spread evenly in the car. try it out!

Ahmen! Had a Camaro that smelled like egg rolls for years

Worse yet though. Some years back I was renting a car in DC and this elderly couple came in and complained that the car they rented from this agency 4 days ago was smelling bad. Well they popped the trunk and the old guy puked on the spot. Seems the former renters had left a bag of soft shell crabs in the truck /spare tire well to bask in the DC August heat.

I love that 'squash' scent. Kinda reminds me of 7-up or something...
