Ahem:

Detailed The Fronty

Anyways, should take maybe 20-30 minutes to claybar a Frontier. I usually buff it instead, but a claybar system works well. Mother's has a kit that works pretty well. You can wax it after you claybar, but I always usually use a polish or a glaze for that extra shine. I use Liquid Glass Polish/Finish. It works extremely well and is easy to apply and remove. It's on the expensive side at $20/can. I've used Meguiars Gold Calss wax which works good, but not as good as Liquid Glass.

ahhhh yes i seen that thread and i must say thats one clean truck, i like the shine on it, i just wanna get the old wearout of the top coat and get that nice like new shine somewhat to what yours looks like, i'll have to go to the auto store and look at the mothers claybar kit, i have some kind of wax that we got from stylin'trucks, its good stuff expensive also, thanks for the info, can anyone tell me what steps i have to do in order to claybar? when i worked at my toyota dealer i seen the detailers spray the car down with a spray bottle of i assume water than just rub the clay onto the paint, is this right? sorry for all the questions lol.

Questions are good, you never know until you ask

Usually kits come with quick detailer since water doesn't lubricate as well and it make it more difficult to clay. I've seen some use carwash soap and water as well. What I did was wet the spot well and just use a gentle rubbing motion.

And your lucky you live where you live; sun rays are terrible here and if you don't keep up with your paint it will chalk and fade within 2-3 years...

I used mothers clay bar and it works great. I also like the mothers Gold class wax. The mothers wax save the majority of my truck from egg damage.
