It depends on what you trying to accomplish with your truck. I'd say don't use the compound unless your truck is oxidized or you have scratches to work out with a buffer. If you don't have those problems, leave the compound alone and just use the Hand Glaze.

I'm new here but I've had three black trucks so far. Blackfire Midnight Sun works well. Look on Classic Motoring Accessories - Car Buffers, Car Waxes, Car Polishes, Auto Detailing Supplies, Car Covers, Car Accessories for that and other tips on black or dark colors.
