I did read those links, just making sure, once again :
1) Wash well
2) Use clay bar over whole car
3) cleaning wax? Which ever wax I choose, then maybe souveran wax?
4) Buff out by hand with microfiber towels or a buff
1) Yes with Dawn.
2) Yes
3) I wouldn't use a cleaner wax on a new truck that's just been clayed.
4) Do it all by hand. No need for a buffer/polisher on new paint unless you have bad swirls or something for some reason.

if you are going to clay yuor truck but can only go to retail stores (autozone, pepboys, etc.) do not get the mothers clay bar. get the clay magic clay bar IMO it works better than mothers. here are other things to consider:
if you're going to use a wash mitt, go with the microfiber ones instead of some cheapo hair ones...
use quality suds. no dishwashing detergent. (dishwashing detergent is formulated to strip oils off plates, my bet is it will do the same to your paint)
do not rub too hard on the clay bar. only light pressure is needed in all but the toughest "dirt"
try not to get wax on anything other than painted surfaces
do not wax in direct sunlight
i recommend eagle1 all wheel and tire cleaner it works real good
microfiber towels are very very good at removing the dried up wax..
I do the initial wash w/Murphy's Oil Soap mixed about a cup/gal. of water.
Been using Kit wax as a cleaner, but I might try a clay bar this year.
Finish w/2 or 3 coats of Collinite 476s or 845.
After a day or 2 driving in the hot sun I'll slosh the vehicle down w/5 gallons of ice water and towel it off w/a chamois.
By the vehicle's 7th or 8th year, tho, I'm usually down to just the Murphy's oil soap.
