I very rarely get to use folks garages, and if theirs no adaquate light I still won't. I don't use a tent, I try to start early in the morning so that I can get it washed and buffed before it gets too hot. The $400 a gallon polish that I use allows me to leave it on as long as I want before buffing it off, so the sun doesn't affect the job , except for making me hot !!! I guess to answer your question about the trick...the trick is to clay the car while washing it , laquer thin any sap or scuffs off, machine buff any compound, glaze, etc. to prep the body, then buff the polish on ... that allows the oils and other protecterants of the polish, etc. to super penetrate the paint and also allows me to not have to worry about not taking it off for several hours ! so Machine buff is the trick ... machine buff on, change pads, machine buff off , then detail wipe the rest with clean microfiber towels...

that sure looks nice. I am not much for old cars though. I would rather have my truck than that ole thing but you did a great job getting it to shine especially for a car that old. Did you use liquid glass?

No I use a custom polish that costs $400 a gallon. I've used liquid glass in the past and it does work well, however it doesn't shine nor last like mine ! If old cars aren't your cup of tea , I've posted other customers cars as well, that may be more to your liking ... :

Aston Martin DB-9

AMG SL 55

S 550

Ultima GTR

AC Cobra

another cobra

Ferrari Modena 360

Lamborghini Murcielago

Ferrari 360 spyder

Vector

Ferrari 550 Maranello

Ferrari 355

Porsche Carrera GT

Porsche Carrera GT

Range Rover

I have many more pics ... but thats enough for now...... 4400+ cars detailed experience...

Yeah with their 10 cyl twin turbos's they sound pretty awesome ! The DB 9 is cool as well but the Aston is worth $145k and the GT's start at $450k , so theirs a big difference , plus the Gt's are relalively light having all carbon bodies, etc.

The Black one is a Realtor client and the red one is a car from a billionaire client I have...

they are pretty sick cars. they were my favorite supercar, until i heard nissan was developing an Nismo GT-R that is (by the time its released to the public) beat the Carerra GT around the Nurnburgring. Its already just a few seconds shy of the Carerra's current time...

but that is some wicked awesome detailing. You do a great job... if i had the money or a paint job that wasn't starting to give out on me i would have something better than Mother's Gold Class however good it is.

Actually the fastest car in that bank of clients cars is the Ultima GTR . It's 700 HP, 1600 lbs, 0-60 in 2.6 seconds, more importantly 0-100-0 is less than 9 seconds and did 232mph in the silver state challenge ! That client is a really good friend of mine, in fact I'm going there today to detail his wifes car, but anyway, After the most recent "Danville De l' gance " all exotic car show last august, he gave me a ride in the Ultima...... we drove down the street and he turned on to the freeway on ramp, as he made the turn, he then gassed it in 1st gear, it spun to the left, he hit second it spun to the right , he hit third and it fried the tires all the way to the begininng of the freeway and he hit 4th and before we hit the next offramp ( less than an 1/8th mile away ) we were going 170 mph and he still had 5th gear , but he shut it down and he drove me back to my truck. Clearly the ultima will eat Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, and Porsche GT's and certainly the Nissans . I believe it's the fastest Street car in the bay area with a license plate on it! I know there are dragsters that are faster or quicker, but for a street legal car , it's a rocket ship !
