Wife's Rogue AVIC-D3 Install troubles

This is not really the forum to be posting this, but I installed an AVIC-D3 nav system in my wifes Rogues this afternoon for Mother's Day. The problem is that the speakers don't work. I tried disconnecting 1 pair of speaker wires and touching them directly to a speaker from the nav system and it works. I am thinking that this has something to do with the Bose system. Have any of you guys had similar problems with install in your Fronty's? I really want to get this fixed for her. Thanks, Ryan

Correct me if I'm wrong but in most Bose systems that I have dealt with, each speaker has it's own amp and will not work with an aftermarket headunit unless the whole system (speakers and all) are also replaced. anyone else have any other info?

Bose speakers will not work with a non-Bose head unit...However I did find this adapter which is designed for this very problem. You may want to do some further reasearch on your own, but this looks like what you need.

what exactly do you mean by "disconnecting 1 pair of speaker wires and touching them directly to a speaker from the nav system"?

I'm a moron, the blue/white amp signal wire got disconnected when I put the head unit in the dash. Figures, it takes 1 to 2 hours wiring everything up, and then another 8 to try to troubleshoot.

I hear ya on that bro.
This last install on my Fronty I about sh!t when I turned everything on and it all worked properly the first time. Usually there is one little problem or another on the initial fire-up. I never put everything back together until I test, a lesson learned the hard way too many times (same with computers).
That's cool you figured it out, good job.
