polk momo/db

I've been looking into some speakers, and I finally decided on the polk db6501 components. I then noticed that crutchfield was having a special on polk momos (mmc6500). Both of these speakers are the exact same price. The amp i will be using will only be providing 75 rms to each speaker. My question is, should I go ahead and get the momos since they are a better speaker even if i will be underpowering them a lot, or should I just stick with the dbs?

No one is biting so I'll throw in. First, it hard to go too wrong with any Polks. There tweeters especially are nice.
Second, while I LOVE crutchfields customer service, I'd note that you can get the DB's for about $80 off and the MOMMO's for $40 off on Ebay venders. I have never had the chance to compare the two speakers togeather but from what I gather, reviews on teh MOMMo's are mixed. You either love or dislike the mids. There CF cone reportedly delivers a "sharper sound" that some people don't care for when mixed with other speakers. Sorry, can't elaborate on that. I'm just passing on what I've read in my research. I have had several sets of DB's and was never disapointed.
If it were me, and given your power limitations, I'd spend $120 on a set of DB components and never look back. ( But that's just one persons opinion.)

x2 what Weehooker said about Ebay prices. They'll blow away Crutchfield on most anything. But, you don't get that customer service that they are so famous for. As far as the DB vs. the Momos. I had the DB components in my last truck, they jammed and never gave me problems. Now in my new truck I have the MMC6500s. I can say they sound equally as good if not better. The MMC6500s are only running off my HU at the moment and they are working perfectly (22 watts RMS, 50 peak). I'd have to say you won't go wrong either way, but then again I am a Polk freak. For the record, the cross over is bigger on the Momos. The speakers and crossover fit in my truck no problem.
Also I mounted my tweeters on the "A" pillar. Check out my thread about alternative tweeter locations if you want to see pics or read my experiences with installing the fronts.

Oh my.... this shouldn't even be a consideration. Go with the MOMOs! I have heard a lot of speakers in this price range, and NONE sound like the MOMOs..... I own them and the Kappas.... the MOMOs are far superior.

And I heard the DBs and the MOMOs side-by-side in an audio store. I went in to hear the DBs, not the MOMOs.... I immediately changed my mind.

I was just worried that the momos wouldn't sound as good since they will only be getting 75 rms from the amp when they are rated up to 125 rms.

Like I said, my Momos are presently running of the HU at 22RMS/50 peak. While not loud enough, they are clean.
I have an Alpine PDX-5 (5 channel amp) 75RMSx4 + 300RMSx1 on the way, will post back when that's installed.
