tried doing the firmware update last night. it kept 'updating' even after the transfer went through.

my macbook is 5 years old now. ole girl has a new macbook pro coming in a week - I will revisit the update then.

I did see on apple's support forums that this is a common problem. Hopefully a newer macbook will fix the problem. Only other way I can do this is by pulling my truck up to the window where my pc is in my house. I'd rather not have to do that, lol.

Any of you guys have that problem?

i wonder if an asus transformer would work...

I think that mine actually did that too. After a while, I just went ahead and closed it out, checked the BT version, and it said it was updated. BT works no issues now.

I had a total of 4 white plastic plugs that plugged into the back of my RF unit. two of them (one of them the 16 pin plug) didn't get used once the Pioneer was all hooked up. I think the two plugs that didn't get used are for factory Bluetooth, steering wheel controls, and Sirius. You're positive that there were only two plugs in the back of yours?

My apologies: only 2 were used. Yes I had 4 plugs. I'm trying to attach a photo from my iPhone. If it doesn't work I'll post it tomorrow at work.

**EDIT**
okay, here are the 4 plugs that I had when I took out my RF deck. There are 2 pair of connectors. As I have noted on the pic, 2 were used, 2 weren't. Was I just looking at the wrong set? Am I supposed to be looking at the one's that aren't plugged into the Pioneer?

On a side note: I have found the our Fronties don't like it when you forget to tighten down the negative battery cable. and then drive all weekend.
No permanent damage, just a scared wife and me freaking out while i was driving down the highway and the car starts to bump as the negative jumps off the terminal and then taps that terminal as I drive. I thought I had mis-wired something or my ground wires were wrong or i had tapped into the wrong power wire or something. Nope: Just being forgetful. lesson learned.

Yep. That's what mine looked like. The axxess wires tap into the one of the plugs you have circled in yellow (the ones that are no longer used). I believe it's the one on the left, but not sure. You can count the pin spots though, one of them will have 16 (some of the spots have no wires running to the them). That's where you will find the colored wires you need.
