well as for the ipod i got the model right before yours the 4100 and put a usb where the aux input was in the truck
friend hoked his ipod up to the usb and i could change songs just like i could control it on the unit so you may want to try that if you got a charger for your computer for your ipod hook it up to the usb port and see what happens its worth a try if you can save a few bucks

i saw where you said you where going to get someone else to do the install its not that bad and i as said before if you try to hook up within in 30 days and burn it up amazon took mine back and sure anybody here can help you hook it up its not that bad

when you get it installed please post some pics.

klee7013,

its not the the fact that i am uneasy about the install of the stereo itself, its just running the sirius antenna & HD antenna & Ipod cable, pulling the door panels for the speakers..............

my neighbor is gonna give me an amp that he got when he bought some stuff from crutchfield and doesn't want it for his jeep (dont wanna leave it in the back open for all to see) so i would like to keep that under the passenger seat = running wiring isnt my game!

amp suggestion

hey all,

looking at finally getting my system installed and thinking about an amp to go along with my setup (went with the Pioneer 4200DVD instead of the 3100)

i bought a set of Alpine Type-R SPR-17C for the rear & Alpine SPR-69C 6" x 9" for the front

ANY SUGGESTIONS ?

Thanks

$400???????

thats no friend of yours then. i real world it should take a couple of hours depending on what your installing. taking the door panels off and putting them back on is whats going to take the longest.
