but i have a few questions for all the auto audiophiles out there:
is there anything else i need to at least get this system working SUCESSFULLY in my truck?
i am assuming that the Sirius connect takes the place of an add-on radio since i have something similar to it in my home theater..
i plan on upgrading speakers later but want to at least get the head unit & other things in first - really dont need an in-dash NAV unit since the Garmin i have is fine for my needs
any help would be appreciated
THANKS

Talk to one of the advisors at Crutchfield. I just changed out the unit in my truck and found them to be very helpful. Just tell them what the end result is that you are looking for and they will find all of the correct components.
Once he found out that I had already had a log-on name with them, he e-mailed me a link so that everything showed up already in a online cart for me.
I noticed that you already own a garmin. Why not look into getting the in-dash nav. holder built specifically for our trucks. I did mine at the same time and love the way it looks. It also then eliminates the need for a dangling power cord.

Bakflip HD cover, Kenwood KDC-X993, Factory Nav. housing, Garmin Nuvi 760, and a little pine tree air freshener
after 2 orders with Nissan i DO have the OEM nav housing (first 1 didnt fit - have a post up about it) and am extremely how it looks & functions !
figure this setup is gonna run me @ 700 w/o install but there is a shop around the corner from where i work that does an awesome jobs & gives discounts to the employees
now just wondering if the stock speakers will handle what i will be sending through them ?

My new Kenwood has 22 watts RMS and for normal listening the factory speakers are fine. However I will be updating it with new speakers this summer just to enhance the sound.

then more mods soon to come!!!!! and plenty more McDonalds double cheeseburgers for supper and bologna sandwiches Got to love club frontier
I just had this installed. Clarion VX400 DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com
It's 499 at Crutchfield but you only need one Sirius add on (not 2) and you dont need the 20 dollar install kit because it bolts right in. It also comes with the IPOD connector so you don't need to buy that either. Bluetooth is also built in. The screen is 6.5 inches and looks factory. Overall it will cost you less because you don't need as many add ons.
I just looked at the specs for the Pioneer head unit and its's double din so I don't think you need the install kit in your first link.
