I don't remember which relay but it is manufactured by PAC. Already comes programmed for the IVA 205 parking brake bypass.

Its the PAC TR-7. Comes pre-programmed for the Alpines. The TR-7 is much better than the toggle switch set-up. With the PAC TR-7,,when you start your vehicle and the headunit powers up,,,everything is set (bypassed) and ready.

As for the auto-dim,,,,I think its under your "Display set up",,,your options for DIM feature is,,,,"on-off-auto",,,under "auto",,,you should have the right--left arrow options, allowing you to chose how bright or dim you want the auto set. I run my "auto-dim" around -2.

I hope this helps.

Wheelie,,,honestly,,,when I received my PAC TR-7,,,,I had a hard time getting everything working also. The instructions are straight forward,,,but for some reason,,mine did the same as yours. I had to play with the wires,,,,to get the TR-7 programmed for the Alpine again. Also dont forget,,,when you have the pac installed,,make sure you flip the small switch to the off position. The small switch is only flipped to "on" during the program set-up. Once you get video,,,flip the switch back to the "off" position,,which keeps the TR-7 programmed. If you installed the Pac TR-7 with the switch flipped "on" it will try to program again,,,then you have to follow the instructions on how to program for Alpine again. Which is a series of touching wires, watching the small red LED blink,,to know how its programmed. I hope this is not more confusing..Good Luck
