Get a real amp ! none of that car audio fourms bull **** stuff .FI makes nice subs ,have yet to take a listen to one .But I would look for an amp baised on what/how you built your FI woofer, for daily SPL or SQ .Look at a JL for a nice SQ amp .If your trying to blow the dors off the truck look into something bigger that pulls ungodly ammounts of current .Im just not into all those off the wall amp brands .JL fan boy #37

Sundown Audio is no BS...Neither is the ED nine.1...I would personally get the sundown 1000d. if nothing else get the 1500 just in case you want to go bigger down the road. The sundown blew the $**t out of my Memphis subs. I would get another sundown but I dont need that much power any more since I got the truck. Im running a JL 500.1 pushing a 12w6v2.
my brother has 1500 going to his 15" Q and it still seems like it can take more.

why in the hell would you want a 1000-1500w sub in a KC truck? are you trying to make yourself deaf in less than a year? im running 250wrms and its just about right for my CC.
The BL is 1k rms. I know most guys are running around 1.2k to theirs but I feel like 1k will be plenty. Im going to an overhaul on the electrical before I install everything so thats not a concern...
Im kinda leaning toward a nine.1 but Im still unsure.
Why do you say those amps are BS blaze? Ever used any of them or read about them? Most of those amps are putting out OVER rated power and a damn good price. Not that JL is bad but it isnt the be all end all company. Out of all the companys I listed, autotek is at the bottom of the list and thats still a really good budget amp.

Inefficient sub plus headroom. His tastes are probably different from yours as well.
The Sundown amps are excellent choices. I've been running a 1500 for about a year and ordered a trio of 100.2s for my truck. Whoever thinks that you have to stick with a mainstream company to get a good product is delusional. With many of the mainstream companies you pay more for the name than the product and the majority of the purchase price goes to paying for the distribution network and all the middlemen.
JL used to be a local house brand, BTW.

JL makes nice amps. They're quite proud of them as reflected by the price. Saying that they are a better choice for an SQ based system than the likes of Sundown is plain ignorant, though. If you want to talk really high end amps, JL isn't on the list. Not that the likes of Audison, Brax, Helix, Genesis or Sinfoni are worth their price either.
Your post is a total contradiction as well. Fi does not have a dealer network, they are only available via direct sales via *omg* the internet! They are the definition of an internet brand. Sundown actually has a dealer network and is available from real brick and mortar audio shops. If you're a JL nuthugger, fine, but don't put down someone else's choice of amp because of your own brand bias. Just so you know, back before you were still thinking about learning to drive, JL was a local house brand as well.

my vote goes for the saz1500s also ,1 for headroom, 2 because of the customer support. and the one bad thing about the 9.1 that i read is that if u ever get any problem with it thats when ed's shady side comes out. and what options did u get for the bl?

I didnt get any options on it. I didnt really feel the need to. I just wanted something the could handle quick bass from rock songs but still sound good on the little bit of rap and country I listen to...
