Did the heater vent under the seat get in the way of the amp lying flat? I know mine will fit under the seat, but not sure how it will sit with that vent going through there.
Thanks! And yes, the vent duct gets in the way. I haven't figured out how I'm going to level it yet but I have some scrap sheets of particle board in my shed that might fit the bill. Maybe stick velcro pads on top and bottom of the board to have it hold the amp in place? Oh well, another project for another day
I guess locking down one side is better than nothing, right? I think I will be making a base of MDF for the amp to sit on. Speaking of amps, my replacement arrived today! WOO HOO!! I am super excited for Saturday!

Does y'all's trucks have threaded inserts under the carpet? Mine had the RF stereo so it had a factory amp under the passengers seat mounted with 3 bolts. I used that factory bracket with a few modifications to mount my amp.
OK, now you are just showing off X! Unfortunately I do not have such a bracket for the amp to sit on. I do have long self-tapping screws, and can use some spacers of some kind to keep both sides elevated - at least that is what my brain has come up with so far...

Lol, sorry
I thought by the looks of my truck that all the trucks had at least the nuts welded to the floor under the carpet.. Maybe since mine is a 2010 they changed it from the 05-08 bodies?
Well, I have yet to take up the passenger seat to see, but I know for a fact that bracket isn't there. Perhaps the receiving nuts are, and I can get some bolts that will fit in its place along with some spacers.

That's my hope! I think the ones on mine were M6x1.0 but if you have the nuts in your truck I can measure mine for you.

That would be most excellent of you and very appreciated! As far as I can guess, that would be the best way to go with some spacers. Mine is a 2010 as well, so I would assume they are in there. I have errands to run today at lunch (recently powdercoated my wheels, one has a chip in it... ) and I could stop at the local fastener shop and get hooked up. Thank you again!!

Yes, my truck is plate-less also. That's interesting to check for the holes, though. When I get a chance I will look under there to see if they're there.
