AVIC Z140BH or wait for the Z150BH?

OK, I'm not a stereo-techno kinda person, (although I did like the Tech package in my 2009 TSX) but for those of you who're really into this stuff, is there that drastic of a difference between the AVIC Z140BH (being phased out, lots of good deals now) or the new AVIC Z150BH coming soon?

It's my daily driver, one MTX thunderform with one JL Audio 10", probably will use Boston Pro 50's and Pro 60's and a...Pioneer amp or two.

I do use an iPhone and will probably get a 5 to replace my 3S, I also have 32 gigs of music on an iPod and subscribe to Pandora.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I personally don't have experience with either, but from what I can tell the Z150 has more memory for nav maps than the 140 (8gb vs 4gb).

Also the 150 has voice commands ( call#, play artist...etc)

The divx playback is a little different:
z150: CD/DVD/USB/SD Card
Z140: CD/DVD

And the Z150 does the same bluetooth options as the 140 except it has the addition of the SPP serial port profile) Unfortunately, I have no idea what this does.

So, to me, the only thing that would really make a difference would be the addition of the voice command to the Z150. BUT, I doubt i would turn down a good deal just for that feature. So, I say if you can get the Z140 for a good deal, do it. I think you will be plenty happy with the Z140, and save some coin. Unless of course, the voice command is a big deal to you.

just my two pennies.

Very cool, thanks for the reply! Would the nav map memory make the system work better, or faster, or just be able to store more information?

I like the voice command option, but even the best ones usually kinda suck. (Acura tech, Siri, etc.)

Maybe someone else is familiar with the SPP?

Thanks again,

I think the nav map memory size would just let you be able to store more map data. Don't think it would have anything to do with performance. I completely feel you on the voice command. It's close, but just isn't there yet.

According to wiki: SPP: This profile is based on ETSI 07,10 and the RFCOMM protocol. It emulates a serial cable to provide a simple substitute for existing RS-232, including the familiar control signals. It is the basis for DUN, FAX, HSP and AVRCP.

I know what AVRCP is but the Z140 has that profile, so I still don't understand what the benefit of it is.
