does an alternator normally cost $600? I would think more like $250!

got to pay to play. no way in hell i would pay $600 for an alt. i would contact a local rebuilder and ask if they could up the output of a stock alt first.

I just hope that another comany buys it, copies it and then produces it at a reasonable price.

That's good that there's now a high output alternator, but it's way too pricey.

100 amps at idle though, that would be able to keep up with my air Compressors (60amps, only at idle obviously)

i have the 160a in my hardbody. honestly, if you play with high power toys, its the best 500 or 600 youll ever spend.

my question is does it work for the qr25 too, or just the vq40?
