I like the bottle of Mother's detailer on the tire. That stuff works pretty good. The Ultimate Detailer from Mequiars works good too. Was that a sponsorship shot or just showin off?

I threw that in there for fun...I like fun. Besides, it shows how much of a lift there is for anyone else with bucket contact...

Plus when you look at the picture, you gotta ask yourself, "Now what exactly am I looking at?"

Thanks BlackTigerSE, I was hoping the washers would provide enough support to keep the bump stop from getting annihilated due to the recessed plate and raised UCA edges.

This does wonders! I "fudged" up my truck pretty bad on my last off road adventure and they held up nicely until one decided to fall off on me. The coil bucket without the bumpstop inflicted a lot of damage. The arm actually dug into the bucket, which is going to leave a very noticable scar, haha. The other coil bucket with the bumpstop had no further dings, dents, paint peal, etc. They hold up very well and im thinkin' about upgrading to a 3" lift now that i got rid of that "clunk" sound. Oh and go with wing nuts, the install is easier and make sure you get it on TIGHT! Or else the nut will unscrew itself overtime and fall off just like mine.

Can you use Loctite? just a dab should do the trick or the aircraft nut that comes with the bump stop?

I love how the bump stops are working! Instead of the wing nut I used a "tap" and tapped teh uca after I drilled it out. Worked like a champ! On the other uca I accidentally drilled too much out so I just used teh nut that came with the bump stop, and after a few hundred or so miles it is as tight as can be. This was the best idea I have heard in a long time. Thank you for posting it. It solved alot of the suspension issues.

Edit: Wing Nuts do not work for me...too big.
I bought 99132G

If the bump stops start to rip and tear from the sharp edge of the UCA overtime, then install washers under the bumpstop to extend the height.

Yep, I've got three washers (don't remember the thickness, but I'm guessing 1/8" each) to get the bumpstops to the correct spacing away from the UCA.

My wingnuts helped me out last night...only took a minute to uninstall the 3/8" stop and install the 11/16. It really helps if you take a stubby screwdriver and thread it through the top of the UCA, through the wingnut, then through the bottom of the UCA, start threading the bumpstop from below and let the wingnut catch itself. It takes little to no effort.

Reason for switching: The passenger side bucket got a few scratches so I am hoping a swap will handle the situation. If not, I will drill out the second hole and that should definitely do.

I will update with the results from the 11/16" after a few big bumps.

Yeah let us know when you find something that works. It seems a lot of you guys are trying different variations, 3/8 vs 11/16, one hole vs another, washers, etc...

BTW frontpagenews, what is your lift height? You have Radflos cranked up to ~3"??

Well i lifted my truck and the contact point is perfect for me. The bumpstop is doing its job...ill take pictures when i finish making my custom skid plates and install them.
