P0430 - Could it be an o2 Sensor? Did some Data Logging

2005 CC 2wd V6 4.0 96,000 on the clock.

Here are the voltages and the trims on the sensors:

b1 s1 voltage:
0.305 steady

b1 s1 trim;
3.91% steady

b1 s2 voltage:
0.280 steady

b1 s2 trim:
99.21% steady

*b2 s1 voltage:
0.590-0.600 - fluctuates between these values

*b2 s1 trim:
6.25-7.03% - fluctuates between these values

b2 s2 voltage:
0.280 steady

b2 s2 trim:
99.21% steady

Truck was operated as normal for 20 minutes and then tested at idle.

In your expertise, what do you guys think? Cat's smoked or o2 sensors on the fritz?

does anyone know which sensor is sensor 1? I am not sure if its the front or rear and I understand it varies between many vehicles.

Update*
Did some research and found that bank 2 sensor 1 is drivers side front sensor or the "air/fuel sensor". Again, Sensor 1 is not the downstream, it is the upstream from what I gathered here:
http://www.courtesyparts.com/22693-a...ml?cPath=4888&
http://www.courtesyparts.com/22690na...ml?cPath=4888&

With that said I feel confident that changing that out would be smart since I have 96k. I am going to change it and post back on here to update you all if you ever have problems too.

drivers side is bank 2 upstream and downstream. Upstream is after the headers before the cats. Downstream is behind the cats.

I changed my first o2 (sensor 1) bank 2 with a Bosch direct replacement. The OEM o2 sensor came out very easily with a harbor freight offset o2 sensor wrench. I checked the sensors again and found that the sensor is still reading the same and the second sensor is still reading the same. It's looking like new cat time! Im seriously gonna get a cheapy cat (less than $200 aftermarket) and be a guinea pig. I have access to a garage with a lift and serious tools so this won't be a sweat. I am still shocked my 7 year old o2 sensor came out so easily.

Some thoughts:
UPDATE*
DUH!
Should have figured the cat was clogged, the exhaust gases aren't escaping as they should so the sensor is reading rich. Until my cat comes in from Canada, I'm punching out the guts so I don't blow rings.

If its worth mentioning this problem crept up within 2k miles tuned with Superchips Cortex 91 performance.

a generic superchips/bullydog tune will not hurt your engine/components unless YOU push the moter to its limits.

I would have thought that, just mentioned if someone else has the same experience like the cats life is reduced due to the tune. I don't race this thing. Just use power to pass and get up to speed on the freeway.

I bought this cat. Figured a unclogged cat that lasts 25-50k or so would be better than a clogged cat that I had to gut in the mean time:

I have an update, I took the drivers side cat off and it appeared to be in great shape, not clogged, not burnt up. P0430 is for the drivers side cat right?

I have a new drivers cat on the way, im hoping!

if your cat is burnt up the dealer HAS TO replace it if you have less than 80,000 miles on your truck. Its the law.
8yrs/ or 80,000 miles the dealer must replace them free of charge.
