I know I need to get that done, Hopefully this weekend I'll get some free time. Life is a bit busy between babysitting (teaching) middle schoolers and lacrosse. I plan to run our this Sunday to pep boys for the fuse set up. What amp 60? 70?

Thanks for looking out fellas.

The amp kit came with a setup to fit an 8 gauge wire. I only used parts of the kit. I mange to have a friend I teach with had some 4 gauge lying around. So i need to get on that fits. I do have some 5AG 60A fuses lying around.

Awesome!

Man this is a cool mod. I'm going to add it to my list.
I think I may cut holes in my base box and run a duct for air, have the plugs right on the side of the box. Super cool mod.

ps I would just add that fuse near the battery, no need to change anything else you can just add in another.

Pardon my ignorance, but why would you need a fuse? Doesn't the inverter have some overload/protection built in? Thx

you still need to fuse the power wire to protect the truck. what happens if the wire gets chaffed between the battery and the inverter? you burn your truck to the ground. with a fuse in line it just pops the fuse and your truck is still there. the inverters built in protection only protects it and whats plugged in.
