I installed a snorkel made for a D40 Navara on my 2013 Frontier today. I want to thank E.J. for all the help and pictures. They were very helpful.:urthebest:
This is what I received.
1. First you want to remove the intake and inner fender.
2. Put the stencil on and line up the top edge with the seam between the fender and the hood and the right edge with the seam between the fender and the door. (Thanks E.J. for the picture)
3. Cover the areas with masking tape. Drill the big hole first and hold on tight (this part was not fun). I had a buddy help and it slipped right out of his hand so I had to step in and drill myself haha.
4. After the big hole was cut I put the threaded studs into the back of the snorkel with some tough up paint on the tips to double check the location of the holes. A few studs were slightly off so. Measure 4x and cut once.
5. Deburr all of the holes and use touch up paint to keep the fender from rusting.
6. While you wait for the paint to dry I cut the tubing piece off the stock intake.
(Thanks E.J.)
7. Next install the snorkel and line up with the provided tubing. You'll have to trim the rubber tube to fit on to the intake. Use some sealant to make sure everything is air tight.
8. Now tighten all the bolts and re-install the intake and inner fender.
Finished!
