Front seat not sliding. HELP!

2000 Frontier 4X4. Manual front seats. I pull the lever to pull the seat forward and it just doesn't want to work. I carefully checked to see that all the latches were disengaging when I pulled the lever. They do. I then checked the operation of the passenger seat and it looks the same. I took the seat out today and the seat disengages when I pull the lever with the seat removed. Slides on the rails nicely. Once I bolt it back in it doesn't want to budge. Anybody else with this problem?

Thanks.

Bob

Mine got stuck good once. Somebody had pushed it back and one side was farther back than the other so it was kind of stuck. Make sure you seat is not like that.

Get that big fooking amp out from under there?

Seriously though, sounds like something is impeding the sliding action.
You say it slid when removed from the truck, but not when bolted in the truck?

That doesn't even make sense.
Hmmmmm . . . . is the seat clear of all obstructions front, rear, sides and underneath?
