Cost is only the cost of some H9 bulbs. Stock foglights are H11's. Go get some H9's there's a little tab on them that you will have to take a small knife to remove then just plug them in. The H9's are 10 watts a piece brighter and you won't believe the difference.

Yeah, that's what I figured so I also undid the mod.

I guess this means I didn't need to buy the darn stalk w/fog light switch. I wish I knew this before I bought the stalk, but since I already bought it, it seems a shame not to use the switch.

Is there more to installing factory foglights than just installing the foglights and the foglight stalk? I know on the late model Nissans, once you install these pieces, all you need to do is go into the body control module with the Nissan Consult and tell the bcm it now has foglights, then they will work. I'm assuming those are the only parts I need for my Frontier for me to enjoy new foglights.

That's all I had to do. BUT first...You gotta make sure you peak under the bumper and see if you have the factory wiring for the fogs already there. They should be hanging near where the fogs are installed. If they are there, all you need is to install the fog lights and the stalk. No programming of the BCM is required.

Tip: If you want to save money, AND you want to be able to have your fogs on anytime you have your headlights, parking lights, or high beams on, follow Irongrave's post and use the fuse tap method. You don't need a light stalk when using this method, but you won't be able to turn off your fogs when your parking, head or high lights are on, either. They will go on and off when you turn on and off your parking, head or high lights.
