great thread, I just learned A LOT!!! I think I am going to try it out on my truck. I like how you don't have to relocate a lot of stuff like you do on the 3" lift.

Does anyone have any ideas about the ugly gaps between the frame and bed in the fender well?

Ok so a local supplier of fastners can order me the nuts and bolts and I will have a price tomorrow. I will let you guys know what I find out. If you guys are interested I can see what a bolt kit will cost for the crew cab and king cab will cost.

I also just ordered the plastic stuff to make the spacers and my local shop is ordering my bolts tomorrow. I am going to fab up some brackets tomorrow if I have time at work. This should be a fun lil project.

Australian Body Lift Kit Parts

I am trying to put together a 2" Body Lift Kit and have sourced the 2" lift pucks locally for 12.50 AUD each but I still have a number of questions I need your help with because I am in Nigeria working at the moment so can not look at my 4X4 to check any of my questions myself ....................I have read this thread and others completeley but still am in need of some help...........

(Because I recently fitted a tray with an under draw setup, my tray does not need to be lifted with the body)

2" Lift
1 - Will I have to re-locate the radiator or can it stay where it is and still do its job?
2 - If I leave radiator at current position will I need to replace any hoses?
3 - Do I need to fit a steering shaft spacer?
4 - I realise I need 8 pucks for a crew cab lift..........are they all the same height?
5 - What length and Diameter are the bolts required?
6 - I will have a 3" lift and 2" body lift............what length brake hoses should I order?
7 - Do I have to extend the hand brake cable bracket?
8 - I have an ARB Steel winch mount bullbar and Warn 9000lb winch.......do I need to order bumber bar lift plates?
9 - What other brackets do I need to extend?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

In your opinion, what would be the maximum body lift I could go to with out having to modify anything except the winch/bar brackets and the brake hoses?

All the best, Ozroder

1 - Will I have to re-locate the radiator or can it stay where it is and still do its job? no , ive have had no issues with cooling ,
2 - If I leave radiator at current position will I need to replace any hoses?may need to replace the upper hose
3 - Do I need to fit a steering shaft spacer?no but you may want to loosen the steering shaft a bit while putting the lift on and make sure the steering wheel is secured straight , then tighten once the lift is done
4 - I realise I need 8 pucks for a crew cab lift..........are they all the same height?yes all are the same height you also need (4) 2"x2" pucks for the bed along with 2x2 metal spacers
5 - What length and Diameter are the bolts required? M12 1.25 x 160mm for the cab
M10 1.25 x 100mm for the bed

6 - I will have a 3" lift and 2" body lift............what length brake hoses should I order?body lift doesnt affect brake lines
7 - Do I have to extend the hand brake cable bracket?no
8 - I have an ARB Steel winch mount bullbar and Warn 9000lb winch.......do I need to order bumber bar lift plates?yes youll also need rear bumper brackets
9 - What other brackets do I need to extend?

In your opinion, what would be the maximum body lift I could go to with out having to modify anything except the winch/bar brackets and the brake hoses?2" is the easiest by far ive seen and less to relocate

A lot of the body lift outfits sell guard gaps............its about a 6" wide strip of rubber/plastic sheet that you rivet into place to cover those ugly gaps.......

All the best, Ozroder

I have a snorkel fitted to my 4wd.........will this be effected by the body lift?

On thinking about it...............probably not...................

All the best, Ozroder
