2002 Frontier SE Cabin Filter Replacement

I would like to replace my cabin filter in my 2002 Frontier SE. Anyone know the steps to achieving this, or any hints? Does the glove box have to come out? Thanks in advance for any help.

Update: 2002 Frontier does allow for a cabin filter to be added. Most Frontiers list it as an option, but I am confident that Nissan did not pre-install any cabin filters in there 2002 Frontiers. However, the truck owner can easliy add a cabin filter to their truck - which is what I did to my Frontier. The entire process from beginning to end took me about 20 minutes. Here is the link with step by step instructions for the installation process.

Don't think you have a cabin filter for that year (2002). Have you consulted your owner's manual?

2002 Frontier SE Cabin Filter

My owners manual says it's optional -whatever that means- so I decided to give the dealer a call. I gave them my VIN and they told me that I do have one, and that it is located behind the glove box. I have not taken off the box yet to check - it's too damn hot here- but I will most likely check tomorrow morning when it's only 100 degrees . Thanks for the help and I'll keep all those who want to know posted.

2002 Frontier SE cabin filter

Napa has filter for about $27! I still not sure if there is a filter behind that box but I'll know by tomorrow.
