05-08 Frontier Tow Relay install and Hitch Pics!

For those that helped me the other day thanks! Just bought the receiver and 7pin wiring harness kit. Install time about 45 mins to 1 hour if alone. VERY EASY install!!

Quick pics if anyone needs/wants to see the actual receiver hitch and 7pin assembly. This is the setup you NEED if you want to tow something with your Frontier. ( can use 4 pin instead of 7 pin)

Hopefully these photos help anyone who like me couldn't find any good pics and this information anywhere else.

Very nice pics. My truck came with an identical hitch but not the 7 pin. Did you but it separately? How much extra was it?

i bought my harness at the Dealer. I wish I would have gotten it on Ebay. It was alot less on ebay. I think I paid around $75 for it. And tomarrow I'm going to find out why I don't have tail lights on my trailer. I have the brake and turn just no tail lights. I have tried all the relays in the kick panel and not sure what else to do except get after it with a test light.

I also bought the 7pin at my local dealer.. after shipping to get it up to me in Canada it want much worth buying stateside. This site is great for Frontier Parts of all kinds. Nissan Frontier auto parts and accessories

BTW, at my local dealer (competitor of the dealer i bought my truck from) gave me 10% off just because I asked if they could do a better deal.

AS for the test, I dont pick up my trailer until Mid March, so unfortunately I will not be able to test the brakes, or brake/signal lights to make sure everything is working... Viagra could you post back with the solution to your light problem, in case others have similar problems?

I have the 7 pin and 4 pin connectors on mine. I spliced them together into one harness.

Both connectors connected from the factory (2007 SE)

Zero Six LE,

Your picture shows 2 connectors, but the white connector on the right it not used. What is that for?

My 07 SE with factory hitch, has the similar connectors as yours, but both are connected to the 7-pin trailer connector. It looks like yours, but my white connector already has a cable attached on the top leading back towards the front of the truck.

I would like to add a 4-pin connector (in addition to the existing 7-pin). I'll snap a picture so you can see what I am talking about...

Thanks,

maukiman

The 7 pin has both connectors on it. I simply spliced my 4 pin connector into the 7 pin harness (4 wires) and protected them like OEM.

I linked picture of mine above. You can see that both connectors are being used.
