when my truck was at 25,000 miles they made these screetch sound when stopping then it got worse that everytime i moved my wheel slightly to the left while driving the screetch pulsated, took it into the nissan dealer i need NEW brakes at just 27000 miles! i must be a hard braker. ochsbeatdown i would take it to the dealer or you can even do it your self and have them put in a nice set of genuine nissan brake pads.

Now, everybody says its normal, even the allexperts guy, but i swear that its getting so annoying/bad that it CANT BE NORMAL! sometimes when im pressing hte brakes and im next to a median or a fence, it amplifies whatever sound it is, and sometimes i hear a creaking sound. when i dont hear the CLANK it sounds as if somethings really creaky and as if its a real creaky door opening up lol, if you understand what i mean....it's just getting to the point that it's loud and annoying and i might spend money just to put nissan brakes on, despite the fact theres only 3,000 miles on these ones!!!!!! anybody EVER have this problem!?!?
did you take the shim/hardware kit off the old pads and put them on the new pads?? if not, go to your nearest nissan DEALER, and buy a set of shims and put 'em on. what's happening is the pads are shifting in the calipers, especially when going backwards to forweards. eventually, the pads will start to squeal from this, so do it fast!

funny you bring it up...this problem annoyed me for a while. so finally, my dad brought it over and got all NIssan OEM everything on it. ANd it was great, worked great for about 2 weeks, no clank at all. then, it all started again. clanking when breaking would occur. however, this time, it now clanks EVERYTIME I DRIVE. whenever its moving, the passengers side front just goes clankclankclank, so somethings obviously loose. however, when im driving, if i hit the breaks, the constant clank stops..then of course the regular one CLANK comes in bc im breaking. so it's all a problem with only the passengers side where it clanks both when moving and breaking now...so i've got an appointment at a local place again this thursday so we'll see how it goes!
