E/f Install!! Ssiiickkk!!!

Well i installed my 16" electric fan a couple of days ago. I pulled my old Fan, and shroud out, then wired the fan to a rocker switch inside my cab. Remembering to turn it on was a pain, so i wired it to my head unit power. Only con to that, is I cant play music, without running my battery down. I had two black steel bars sitting in my back yard, which i cut to fit(radiator support). I mounted the fan onto the 2 bars, then mounted it onto the radiator support, using self tappers, and Nuts and bolts.

I noticed a big difference in performance. I rev A LOT faster. Im only in first gear for a second before i hit 3k rpm's. Not to mention its way easier to spin my tires. My truck also does way better up hills. WAY WORTH IT GUYS! Install took only 3 hours.

Why don't you use a different wire other than the headunit as the turn on lead? Probably a wire that gets power after the second click of the key. Then radio is no problem since it comes on with the first click of key.

IDK if only have the 16" will be enough for those hot days in the desert. What did you do with your aux fan?

The thermometer is going to be better in the long run but the switch might be needed if you are doing any kind of water crossings.

Just make sure you keep an eye on the temp gauge and hopefully it will be alright.

One electric fan (i used 16")
5' of steel bar
4 1/2"self tappers
4 1" Self tappers
2 1 inch bolts
2 nuts
2 self locking washers
5' 12awg. wiring.

All around $100. Well worth it. And about the thermometer. Id rather have it constantly running to keep my engine cool, and i will however wire it to something that turns on, on the second click. Thanks for the feedback. At the moment i am installin my CST 4" spindles, Adapters. Titan 6 spoke 18"rims, and tires .
