air bag light blinking

Any way to safely deal with this other than going to dealer? The air bag light has started to continuously blink as I drive.

Am also having intermittent freezing of speedometer (at 41mph) and intermittent blank odometer as well. Wondered if my 1998 Frontier has corrosion of the instrument cluster connections. The latter problems come and go, but the blinking air bag light blinks the whole time I am driving.

I was thinking of having the air bag light checked at the dealer and perhaps having them take the instrument cluster connectors off and on several times to possibly break the corrosion if any exists.

I'd like to do this myself, but I don't want to fool with the air bag issues.

Telling someone to search kinda sucks.. Answer the guy. or show him were to look.
Thats why we are here. to help each other.

If your light is blinking first try to reset it. follow link above. the rude guy with the flashing screen

If you cant.

If your air bag light is flashing AND you have no horn it is your clock spring/spiral cable.
Its easy to do. You need a steering wheel puller. But is cake. Took me about 20 min to get it out.. Put it back together without it while I wait for my ebay one to get here.

As far as dash..wiggle the fuse for gauges..prob loose fuse terminal. just use a pick to pull on fuse holder to get a better conection
