Wheeling in MS this weekend

Finally took a nice wheeling trip this weekend. Got to play in some mud, do a little flexing, climb a few hills in a gravel pit.

Most of the trip was simple trail-riding, but the red dirt there gets very soft when it is wet, and we even got stuck once in what looked like a little puddle.

Enjoy the pics! Sorry, I don't know why some of the pics are upside down.

Cool pics. Were you stuck badly enough to need your winch?

Unfortunately. The pic of just the back sticker and the muddy wheel is where I got stuck.

The mud was soft enough, that we felt the truck sinking.

The guy who owns the property told us that they got a tractor stuck there last week.....so I didn't feel as bad.

Thanks

You could improve your approach angle and reduce the likeliness to get stuck if you dont drive around with the winch on the front.

Yea a winch mounted that far out and low on my truck sure would get beat to ****.

That looks like some extra sloppy mud. I don't think California "makes" mud like that, atleast not that I've come accross. Good reason to get some mud terrains!

The winch cradle is a short term solution to a winch bumper. Yes, some mud terrains would have been perfect....also on the to-do list, once the stockers bite the dust.

I hear ya, I'm in the same boat. New truck = big to-do list.

Exactly. My sliders should be done soon. My hi-lift mount will be done soon. And, I'm trying to decide when to pull the trigger on bumpers.
