What would it take to have a west coast Club Frontier meet?

What State would be the best? would a 3 day weekend be good. Would a camp some place and a bunch of trails be good? If so would we like Sand dunes, or dessert or and OHV park? Or forest? or Rock? Or would it be better to do long run.. like find a nice jeep trail or Vegas to Reno.

I have been thinking about setting one up on May 05 07, at Ridgecrest, CA. This place has OHV area, sand dunes, Death Valley 4x4 trails, prerunner 2wd trails, and this weekend there is the MDR pro desert races! Pretty central for all Cali, AZ, and NV. The OHV allows camping anywhere, and Ridgecrest has hotels. A couple of use are doing a Deathy Valley run on Feb. 17-18, and will check out the area. If everything looks good, will post in event forum shortly after.

I think it's great for guys to meet up and go wheeling, but why didn't you post this thread in the "Meet/Regional" forum? You realize that's what it's for. "Here is the place for you to arrange meets and get togethers with fellow members in your area."

Let's keep this board somewhat organized... Hopefully a mod will move this thread.

Thumbs up

Ridgecrest would be a good spot. We could do Saline Valley rd, Cerro Gordo and Devils Racetrack. All very doable in stock rigs but there could be some pucker power. You would get fast desert, mountains, and rocks, but not to serious rocks. This would probably take a long two days and is inline with 05se post. Anyway I sent you a PM with the run info for February 17-18.

Cheers

I would like to know about anything in the Oregon, Northern California area also. Our Maple Leaf friend below has a good point though. Nismo are you in the Portland area? I have relatives in Vacouver, so it would be a two birds deal for me.

'cause the west cost is broken off in to several threads. so things like Nor cal is talking about going to death valley and that is realy closer for so cal, and still not far from vegas.

Good point. Maybe those regional forums should be "refined" a bit by the mods/admins.

Sorry to thread-jack.
