I finally broke the news to my family this morning that I might not be staying the whole weekend. I think they understand that wheeling is an addiction, and it couldn't really be helped. I just hope they don't try to set up an intervention.
i can see the thread now titled "Wheeling intervention"

I can picture the looks I'd get at the table... "I am thankful that you (uncle/aunt) have decided to host dinner at your beautiful house here in Coarsegold this year, because this allowed me to wheel for nearly a full day, and still beable to make it here in time for all this grub."
I dare you!

I don't do illegal drugs or have a gambling problem or anything like that, so I think they should just be thankful that an obsession with wheeling is my biggest vice.
Don't worry your head about it, they will have a grand old time.
A couple years ago I had the whole week off (budgets), but least I had vacation time; not here, ugh...I shouldn't complain as I am working, but sucks not having any vacation days to accrue and only 5 holidays...fukk, even labor day was unpaid; how ironic is that.
I'd be happy to stay at home, sleep in a little and go do some man stuff (garage, car, etc.), but it's a pipe dream.
The plan for this weekend is Hunter Lake Trail on Saturday. We will be meeting at the end of Pinehaven Road in Reno at 8am. Snow at the upper parts of the trail is a good possibility. Hopefully we can make it all the way through. I plan on doing an optional loop near the start of the trail that will be new to me. Any questions just ask, and please post up if you are planning on coming.
