Recovering stuck jeep on the Rubicon

This picture made its way around the net in my neck of the wood lately. I had to look it up. Appears this guys went in for New years and got his jeep stuck. Then we had Janubury and his jeep was stuck for good. This pic was of their first attempt at recovery late in April. They went in again last week however again failed.

Some of the story here.

those recovery jeeps look like they are going to fall in the hole as well. Where is a proper 4x4 when you need it

Wow, the weight of the snow really wreaked havoc on the roof/windshield.

He wasn't wheeling alone. They still have another Jeep stuck out there. Hence my comment.

That was my point. If they had been it could have gone much worse than a smashed roof.

Ohhhhh...I missed that point completely. Yeah, that could have easily turned into a Donner Party situation.

But two stuck jeeps mean that they might as well been alone.

I have gotten into the habit of bringing a pack and good walking shoes along with me when ever I go 4 wheeling. + backcountry skis in the winter/spring. This was 2 weekends ago.
