Did the shop tell you to bring it back for a fluid change after break-in? I had a trutrac in my last truck and because of the nature it operates (with the helical gears) there was a lot of metallic dust and shavings. But after the first change it was clean from there out.

damn nice. I am super excited! Have you gotten a chance to test it offroad? From the looks of it, it is going to work really well.

Brians7 I did read in a previous post there was no modification required for the unit to fit, however, was there any thing unique or above and beyond a typical truetrac install that the shop mentioned? How long did the install take? I've talked to a shop about install and as they have never opened up a nissan m226 they are giving me a pretty high labor quote.

The guy that did the install said it was the same as any other dana 44 install. As I said before there is no mondifactions nessacary and you don't even need a shim kit, because it has spaner nuts to ajust instead of shims just like a standard dana 44 would have. It only took a few hours to install

I have a prg lift in the front with radflow coil overs lifted about 3 inches and I thought 285/75/16 would fit without rubbing but they did any ways. So I cut the plastic ener fender but it still rubbed so I got 1 inch masking tape and went from bottom of fender to above wear it rubbed and removed 1 inch off the fender with a high speed cut off wheel. And then I a shaped a styrofome mold and covered it with foil and then fiberglass. I used lock tight epoxy to glue patch panel to fill the void from where I cut the fender and removed plaster ener fender and painted flat black to match ener fender. One day soon I hope to have the bottom 8 inches or so of the truck sprayed with bed liner. The mud tires kick rocks up on back fenders anyway bad. So when it is all said and done hopefully you want see my ugly paint job. Thank you for your interest. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...0403081706.jpg
