MongoBasin: The Aftermath

So this weekend BroncoDude and I went to Morongo Basin, California, for the 28th annual Morongo Basin Search and Rescue Desert Run.

We had a blast. We camped on a huge dry lake bed, which is always alot of fun for Donuts and such. We and 300 of our closest friend's attended with their trucks. Kyle and I were one of like 5 stock vehicles there, the other 3 being Jeeps.

This....would be our first warning of the "fun" to come. With fireworks, booze, camp fires, and people switching the Easy and HARD signs, we had a blast.

Unfortunately, I dont own a camera, so I'm going off what other people got...

These shots of everyone are where everyone got redirected to the hard side by accident. the line was probably a mile long, it was taking vehicles 10 minutes to get to the obsticle. I got stuck 3 times GETTING TO the obstacle, all in places in this picture.

Think the steps at broken arrow, but steeper, with 90 turns, and big big rocks.

More stuff.

Kyle bent his rear bumper... AGAIN....but we dont think we can fix it this time.

I also bent his front bumper pulling him out.....

Penski61s sliders were worth their weight in GOLD.

Unfortunately.....my sliders were a bit short.

That would be a lack of paint, and primer. Its down to the metal.

Even my heat shield got a bit of a workout.
