pretty sure I've seen around that a broken ABS line will disable 4x4 (sounds pretty stupid to me)

The broken speed sensor may be screwing with the 4dw, when you said you blew a shock were you talking about one of those Kings.

pull the fuse and see if it will go into 4 wheel drive. the light won't work but it should go in, there should still be enough mud around to test it out.

Yup. thats me. Is your ABS light on? In your front wheel wells there are wires that run from your engine down to your suspension. in the middle is a clip. i guess that line runs to the Vehicle speed sensor. with a wire torn out or damaged, it wont be able to tell your computer the status of its 4wd or abs and all that so none of it works. I researched it in a repair manual. Check those things out and hopefully thats what it is..If you need more details or pics let me know.

I will splice the ABS line tomarrow, and yeah my slip and ABS line are both on It's the rear ABS line and from the look of it, it is 2 wires, so It should be pretty easy to splice.

I once unplugged one of the abs sensors at the front to do some work when I plugged it back 4x4 would not work niether woulld the abs, I took it to the stealership and they repaired it for free in a matter of minutes but would not tell me how they did it.
