It would be funny if those six all just up and decided not to sell cars in california anymore. just kinda flip them the big bird.

dunno how you guys cna deal with the freak fringe who try to push their agenda on everyone. a vocal minority is still a minority yet somehow they get their way more often than not and force their views on everyone else.

oh, and if any of the idiots at the capitol here get wind of this, I see maine joining that lawsuit...they dont come up with their own ideas here, they just take the worst of everyone else's laws and make us adhere to them as well.

Don't get me started. I could end up with a bad reputation here. Oh wait. Too late.

Too many lawsuits....

this is ridiculous.

I ate some Mexican food for dinner, I am producing some, ahh, emissions, I had better hide from the California government...

The lawsuit probably won't go anywhere. It'll get dismissed, or dropped. After all, Cali is trying to take on some major players with serious clout.

While I agree that there is a problem, but to just attack car manufactures is wrong...

a lawsuit agains the car manufacture, is like someone being born in 1980 starting smoking in 98 and dieing in 2045, suing a tobacco company for him/her making a choice to smoke... It is beond rediculious.

how about make a USEABLE public transportation system? Living here in southern california, you NEED a car to survive... due to the lack of quality public transportation, not like the east coast where you can hop a train from balitmore to new york etc... then get on a subway, and get where you need to go.

We have "Metro link" which sorta connects orange county to los angeles... but you have to drive to LA County to get on the train... and you have to travel 2~3 hours early to catch the right trains and busses to where you need to go, making changes every few stops... then having to walk a further 10~15 blocks and hopeing you make it in time for that bus. unless you live in LA.... public transport doesnt really work. and typicaly the less money you make, the further you live from work...

I am not saying that the government should be giving handouts... but, and this sounds bad, the manufacture of a product is NOT responsable for the use of said product. It is not like the auto manufactures ever said that "The Automobile will Greatly Improve the Quality of the Air You Breath!" Unlike cigaretts where they did market it as something healthy. They are just using the automobile as a scape goat for the problems with the environment. Kinda like back in the 50's when people tried to blame the car for the deaths of other people, but the reality is, a car is just a tool, that can be dangerous if misused by its opperator, like a gun, or any other thing out there.

What comes next, suing bomb manufactures for the deaths of millions of people? And why not other transport manufactures? such as the shipping industry? where a container ship can use some 3000 gallons of fuel in an hour or so... or big rig manufactures... I would say factories, but most of them have been chased away allready.

basicaly... something needs to be done... but this ins't the right manuver.
