makers 46 is pretty damn good. its smokey and a little sweet and spicy. it has a slight vanilla/caramel tinge to it almost like a spiced rum blended with a bourbon. good mixer with coke.

Bushmill's Irish Honey is a great cheap whiskey. 20 bucks for 750ml

Hi: roastbeef... X2 on the Makers 46. Tasted it at the still in Loretto Ky. WOW!!! Best Bourbon I've had.
The name Whiskey is from the Gael word Uisgebeatha (Water of Life).

Went to get the Maker's 46 and was disappointed to find that the Indian guys usually go to didn't have it.
Picked up some regular Maker's Mark and put It in my new decanter I found at a good price.

Im a scotch kind of guy as well. Aberfeldy 12 year is my favorite that I can afford. I love the Aberfeldy 21 year, but thats just too expensive for my taste. $54 a glass at the joint I go to and about $150 a bottle.

I just had a friend get me a bottle of Leopold Bros. Rocky Mountain Peach Whiskey. So good. Its a bit sweet for my taste normally, but it goes well with the bite of the whiskey. And its made right here in my home state and the bottles are hand numbered. Curious if anyone else has seen this stuff or tried it.

Ah a topic where everyone is right (in their own minds)!
As for whiskey, Its either Scotch or Tennessee for me. Usually depends on the season. Its the holiday season so I will soon be buying a bottle of the GL21. Once you"ve had a fine scotch it will always be at the top of your list. I really like the JD single barrel. And the Gentleman Jack makes the best jack and coke ever, or as we call em down here 50/50'S

Ill have to give that peach whiskey a try. What's a good mixer, iced tea? Maybe just on the rocks?

Yeah that sounds good on the rocks.
I bought some cheap whiskey stones at target the other day. Like 9 bucks. Deeply disappointed. They didn't make it nearly as cold as I expected.
Get what you pay for I guess.
