10 currently but feels like -1 a bit nippy lately, at my cabin it's been highs of 2 the last 4 days and lows of -7 to -8

They mainly use magnesium chloride, which is less corrosive than other types of road salt. Also keep in mind that about 75% of Nevadans reside in Clark County (Las Vegas/Henderson) where it almost never snows, so the majority of cars you see from NV probably never even see magnesium chloride.

About two below. Got a new battery in August. Spun over this morning as if it were still August. No difference in cranking speed which is amazing. Best battery, ever. From Advance Auto. I'm kind of hoping we'll see 30 below here as a test, but it never gets this cold.
