I love that video. Nothing pleases me more than seeing those jackasses in their stock "performance" cars get walked all over by a car that cost a fraction of what they paid for theirs. That is exactly why I wanted to buy (and still do) a Subaru WRX STi.

As for the flipped up collar Tacoma owners stereotype...I have no clue what that is about. Of all the metrosexuals I know, most wouldn't want a Toyota truck. I think they are more for the fashionable BMWs and Mercedes. Let's face it, there is nothing sexy about a Tacoma, Frontier, or any other truck (I'm not referring to SUVs here...different category). It is safe to say that if a hottie at a club asks me what I drive, she won't be all over my junk b/c I have a lifted 4wd truck with 33 inch tires.

I agree with Kelly, there are plenty of retards driving Nissans. That is just an asinine assertion to say drivers of the Frontier's competitor are nothing like us. Come on kids, let's be nice to our Toyota counterparts. And let me guess, you probably subscribe to these stereotypes as well.

That's funny. I work with a guy who is in his early 20's, almost 'metro,' with a white Tacoma. When I was researching trucks and I decided on the Frontier he had to put in his two cents and ask why I wasn't going to get a Tacoma because they are the best trucks on earth or something like that. My reply was simple. The Frontier looks better, costs less, has more power, and is a better built 4x4... period.

Probably true, but on the Internet forums too many owners of new Tacomas are often so darn defensive. It's like they're worried about Frontier. Though, there's a lot more of them than of us (Tacoma often outsells Frontier 2.75:1) so I guess you get 2.75 times more loudmouths.

The only taco's I see are older folks with the 4 banger.

I wear pink once a month, I look metro but my neck is a tad bit to red, I sport purple once a month too. I have yet to be called out about the pink- I go to bars with a girl on each arm. I love my bar fly friends they get me drunk...

Frontier > Taco for the simple reason I got hit by a semi in my last frontier and I walked away. I like heavy steal and miss my 63 lark...

Outstanding! You are the first person to get it right. I figured it was a good avatar for me since I'm an economist. And it's kind of funny when people think that's me in the picture.

Kind of a Ford/Chevy, Mac/PC, kinda thing isn't it?

I come from a skateboarding background...we have the same arguments there.

I've had my Frontier exactly 4 days now. I love it. Was coming off an F150...dug it...but didn't love it. Test drove a Tacoma, it was ok...but the Frontier feels GOOOOOD!!!

I start mod shopping today.

To an extent, certain people do seem to gravitate toward certain vehicles. Around here, nothing says "redneck" like a big Dodge truck. My girlfriend is from Bulgaria and even she noticed it. We passed a neanderthal in an obnoxiously loud Ram one day. The gf looks over at me and says, "Why do rednecks always drive Dodge trucks?" That was hilarious.

I've definitely noticed more young punks in Tacomas, though. Not so much the metro type--we don't even have those--but more of the Xtreme guys. Blacked-out windows, lots of decals, loud exhausts, etc. Oh, and they also have the obligatory Oakleys, stereo cranked up, and The Lean. This seems to be more common with Tacomas than any other trucks. And this is just my observation. I don't hate Tacomas at all. If the Frontier didn't exist, I'd probably be driving one. Still, that crowd definitely goes for Tacomas over Frontiers. Which is perfectly fine with me!
