Ive been doodling these tribals for a long time (probibly a decade, so its not some passing fancy) and this was the first that i did that i looked at and said....now THATS what i want it to look like. i probibly should have said that in the inital post. reading back i realised how bad it sounded. i actually have been playing around with the design a little to make it easier (that whole center spine where its crouded). once i get home ill post up the redesign. Im also gonna keep playing around with it untill i decide to get the tat.

I know a lot of people say get something that is important to you or memorable(a lot of my friends have tats and ive never asked what they mean, they either look good or dont *shrug*). I actually disagree with that. very often what is important or memorable to you now wont be in the future...infact you may want to forget that important thing but you now have a lasting reminder of it. To me a design that doesnt have any intrinsic meaning is more likely (at least for me) something i can live with permenantly. Plus if i do it on my back its not like i have to see it everyday:-p

Guess I am a bit behind on this one too, but I'll throw in a few more cents.
I still say it would look nice between the blades or on a shoulder - not a big fan of calves, but thats me, not you.
That being said. I have a pretty good size one between my blades and done by a great artist blah blah blah. But the fact that I can't see it real well really drives me crazy some days. But I don't regret it for a minute.
I am currently working on another design. I can post my back one if you like, but not looking to jack your thread (and I am at work and don't have it).
If you like it, get it. If for some reason you don't like it 40 years from now, it will be a good story to tell. Isn't that really what tattoos are about anyway?
Good luck.
