I don't think that blaming the other guy does any good. Both Clinton's and Bush's administrations could not contain North Korea. Now, it'll only be harder for democrats who get to be elected next

If you want to look at it like that, you could blame Regan for helping Sadaam Hussien and Osama Bin Laden for their weapons and disturction. You can't blame one man for what another man does with knowlage you give him. It's not like he said "Here's how you make a nuclar bomb".

Everyone is to blame, the question now, is what do we do about it?

Kaku, the Democrats are likely to get the House, but I would not pencil them in for the Senate just yet...but they are going to make some significant gains there. Honestly, it is a protest vote against Iraq. I am not sure it will carry over past this election cycle. We shall see.

Honestly, what difference was there between bush and gore, they are both morons, I could have pictured both of them crying for mommy at the first sign of any hostility twards them.

face it, what we are offered for presidents is nothing more than talking heads, a face to put on the standard burocracy of our government, kinda like "The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy."

bottom line is, for presidents we have nothing but career politiians, people who are so out of touch with reality, and so out of touch with the american public, they do things that are un-fathomable by normal people, like that Mark Foley fellow, who is writing laws, and breaking them at the same time!

this country needs more than a better president, it needs very strict term limitations, by that I mean the amount of terms that can be served on any level throughout a life time...

in my mind there is no difference between a democrat or a republican, when in office they both spend *** loads of money, they both like to raise taxes, and they both like to play to "special interests."

hell the last 2 presidential elections were a dicision of the lesser of 2 evils, and i predict the same for the upcomming election!

A democrat is what a libertarian would be, if democrats wern't so much like republicans.

another thing I am tired of is, if you are a liberal you are a *****... no that is what you call democrat.... or something... libertarian is a horse of a different color, a true libertarian believes that each person is responsible for that person's action, only you can force yourself to do things, and ultimately it is that persons fault for the short commings in thier life. For us libertarians we are live an let live until you start infringing on our personal rights, which both democrats, and republicans like to do. What gets me most about this whole right vs left thing is that both sides like to kawtow to the religious side of the country (and it makes sense too as 70% of americans claim to adhear to some form or christianity), but what does this do, look at the amount of violence on television, take that amount, then look at the amount of sex, and dirty language, the first one over powers the last two combined by about 5 to 1, why, because sex is a dirty thing, but killing a person is ok... or that is the way it seems.

sorry... I am just really sick of the right vs left thing... when they are basicaly the same.

Hey, no need to apologize, while I find you quite cynical, I also find you to be basically correct, imo. The best and brightest with the best ideas do not run for office in this country. There are many reasons for this, but what we wind up with are people that generally look good on TV, but who have little substance behind them, other than wanting to get elected or re-elected. This is not directed at any one person, it is simply a general observation on my part. The two major parties in this country, when compared to the major parties in the rest of the western world, are simply quite similar. There are differences true enough, but life doesn't change too much for most people regardless of who is in office. But anyway, I like to follow it, its basically what I am trained to do.

Honestly, one of the things that makes it really hard for the US to get anything done in the arena of foreign affairs without using force is the fact that currently, we are the only superpower, though China is rising fast, I mean fast. People are jealous and resent us. When there are multiple superpowers, it is easier to get people to do what you want, because they have a clear choice of sides to take...

Anyway, I am rambling, sorry, but North Korea is scary right now...
