beef, How close is that to the speed to agreed to pay for?
Those 250s are great commuter bikes for any roads under 65 mph. Get a feel for it at 55 mph on the highway before you buy. Interstates are a no go. A commuter car makes the most sense but I just can't bring myself to cruise a 90's civic. I want to go the beef route and get a BMW but after all the $$ I have dumped in the truck I really need to start saving and investing.

that speed is about exactly what they proclaimed it to be, 30 down, 5 up.
that is with a qs3 modem and apple airport. they wanted to lease me a modem for $4 a month, but this motorola one was $99, so not terrible.
i check it from time to time to make sure they aren't throttling me. because if they do, i'm going to raise hell.
i have two room mates that have computers and phones that suck down mah internetz while i'm trying to play my video games online.... so i need my internet beefy.
it hasn't slowed at all, although i do notice it hiccups a little bit when someone drives up and their phone connects, etc., but that might just be a coincidence. i'm pretty sure it only sucks as much speed as it needs until there is another draw on the speed, then it kicks it up.

Good. My provider (Time Warner) was trying to F me in the A. $40 a month for 25/2 and I was only getting 3/.5. Go to your modems address. Something like 192.168.1.1 and read up on Quality of Service and Ports/Forwarding. My stupid roommate would kill my COD time by running everything possible. With QOS I made it so that my PS3's Mac address and ethernet port had priority on the network. I also made it so that his stuff and netflix were lowest priority for bandwith usage Opening certain ports and setting your PS3 to DMZ can really help your gaming. People will actually die when you shoot them.
i have time warner as well and i swear i signed up for 20 in the past and they dialed it back to 15 and said i had 15 the whole time... they will nickel and dime you and sneak in extra costs. i cut my hbo and showtime because they went from $7 each to $12-14 each. plus the lease on the cable box in my room i never watch tv on is $12. i'm taking my "leased" modem and cable box back to them so i don't have to pay for them any more. i'm trying to cut some costs where i don't need it.
my interwebs must not be compromised though. you haven't been on mw3 in a while...

Yeah I have found the best/easiest thing to do is assign your PS3 a static IP address and set that as the DMZ server. This literally opens up all ports to incoming requests (which would be a terrible thing for a computer). I also found that many high end TV's "smooth" out the graphics causing a short delay. Mine has a video game mode that skips this smoothing process. I can't stand lag and made it my mission to avoid it. I was told me using my own modem is the problem. If I would just use their leased equipment everything would work fine which is BS. I haven't been on MW3 since BOPS2 came out.
The woman absolutely loves it.
Fit and finish is out-freaking-standing, ride quality is very high, super quiet on the highway and a surprisingly responsive engine for a 4 banger turbo.
The only flaw I can find is that it has the technology package, which sadly means it does more things than my wife can comprehend.
Since she's back into AWD we'll probably never see snow here in PA again.
Which for the record is just fine by me!
