Never had a Mitsu pickup, however when i was 18 to 21yrs old, I had a 91 Mitsu 3000GT VR4 ( the twin turbo model ) And it kicked but... Although, most of them didn't make it to 120K... but that was because it was a car to be beat on...

My roomate back in those day's was a car salesman who had a 1990 (last model they made) 300ZX fairlady twin turbo with T-Tops... We probably had the fastest cars in town back then... 300HP was unheard of unless you where the rich guy with a Z06 or something... "boy do i miss those day's"

Anyway... what where we talking about?

Talk about everything that doesn't relate to the Nissan Frontier. This section is pretty much a free for all. Have fun here.

It'll be interesting to read on this forum when someone takes on an '07 Colorado. The Coly's I-5 engine HP jumps to 242 HP (up from 220) and Coly is 500 Lbs. lighter. Both elements should now make a new Coly superior in the LB/HP department.

True Fitz, however, it's now about how the engine transfers that power to the rear wheels. Nissan seems to know how to put that power to the ground whereas Ford, Dodge and GM do not.
Am I wrong?

I was thinking the same thing.

Good point and I suspect you're right. I test drove two or three '05 Colorados and was unimpressed with the shaky ride quality, especially on uneven pavement. By contrast, Frontier has a solid and quiet ride and virtually no wheel slip when I put the hammer down.

I can't vouch for Colorado power because GM forces buyers to the I-4 if a manual tranny is desired. All I drove were I-4s and it's an underwhelming mill.

I think the Raider looks better than the Dakota its based on. I don't like the Colorados up close or inside. Esp. after driving my Fronty.

I almost bought a Coly in the summer of '04 before the new Frontier was made. Coly offered a manual tranny Crew Cab back then (now dropped) and I was really excited about it. I delayed my Coly purchase because I couldn't get past Coly's plain interior and lack of I-4 power. When Nissan introduced the new Frontier in late '04, I took a test drive with a 6-Speed Crew and was in a state of euphoria. The rest is history.

The other Sunday I rolled past a Chevy dealer and found an unlocked Coly to sit in. Man, there's no contest with Frontier in fit, finish and comfort, let alone Frontier's engine. So far, I have zero regrets in buying the Frontier.

Yeah, you said it better than I did, but I agree with all that.
