A 7 pound slug, goes through 4" steel plate at 5400mph and still travels 7miles without a powder charge?

It'd be tough to conceal, and personally, I've got no beef with plate steel. Seriously there is a pretty interesting Wiki page on this technology.

I've been hoping for years that someone will enter a railgun type launcher in the annual punkin chunkin event.

Might be difficult to keep the pumpkins from pie-ing though
