i personally am a playstation person. i have had a ps2 since it came out and have never had a problem with it and i have had a ps3 since about september and have never had a problem with it

I got the extended warranty from Best buy. Don't get the Factory ex-warranty. If It stops working I just take it to BB and they give me anther one. With the factory ex-warranty, I would have to send it away to get fix then they would send it back.

xbox has the red eye of death due to a overheating problem, the newer playstation3 (cheaper one of the two) is no longer backwards compatible in a effort to lower the price even more. have a ps2 and ps3 no problems with either one... knocking on wood!

the red ring of light was from something on the motherboard coming loose, that's been fixed with the new motherboards. the ps3s at the E3 conference kept freezing because they were overheating like crazy. but i'm sure they're fine if you have them in a ventilated area.
