I'd rather put that PS3 money towards a new computer build in a year or two when games that take advantage of directx 10 will be out. The graphics are going to be beautiful.

There were several tents outside Target when I was there last night! I think these kids are nuts, but then I'm not into gaming so I don't see what all the fuss is about. I can't believe they are already selling on ebay for those proces though... It seems every store in town here had an ad in the paper saying they were in stock and would go on sale this morning! Maybe that's whay traffic was so light this morning, everyone in town is camping out out side some store! LOL!

That could fall into the more money than brains department. I wouldn't stand in line for one nor would I camp out to try to buy one. Seems like something comes along every year that causes people to lose their minds.

graphics will be far and away better than anything else out there plus, it's a blu-ray player too and stand alone blu-ray players are still $4-500 without any gaming capability.

give it 2 years and PS3 will have surpassed XBox 360 in sales even with the year head start the XBox had.

A old guy at work here gave money to 3 different kids he knows to each buy a system and in return for their camping out, he's splitting the ebay profits.

Sad, sad stuff.

Sonys fault though. They should just hold out till inventory is built up sooo high everyone can get one on the release day.

I guess letting punks make more profit off of one unit sold than they do is worth all the hype. *shrugs*

The really sad part is there will probably be plenty kids this Christmas who won't have a new PS3 because of greedy old men like this guy! I know my kid would go without before I'd pay 1000% more than the asking price!

Okay, I take that back, my kid would probably go without because I think $600.00 is highway robbery for one of these dumb electronic babysitters! Violent Video Games are probably the leading reason kids today have no concience and kill one another without any remorse!
Unfortunately, in real live, humans don't have reset buttons!

I must admit, I prefer racing games on the consoles but everything else on the computer. for $600 I could do a pretty nice upgrade to the system I have now.

As for some kid not having one at Xmas because of greedy people...no big loss, electronic babysitters are a bad thing anyway.

Any of you try to get on Costco's website this morning?

I was trying to get my hands on one, and of course post it on ebay. Half the country must have been on there trying to do the same thing, because it was slower than hell.
