That was a British Business guy who got arrested for Fraud and never insured or paid for the car. He tried to say a German was driving and fled the scene. ummm, not to be a spoil sport, but that was a ferarri Enzo (named afer the company's founder), they only made 349 of those cars, there is no waiting list, they have produced all that will ever exsist of that car, and they were all sold before production started.

And I believe you needed to be invited to own one. You couldn't just buy it. You needed to be asked by Ferrari to purchase one. Another requirement was previous ownership of a certain ferrari, but I can't remember which one.

correct, you had to own certian ferraris, to even be eledgable, basicaly, the car was an instant classic, the street value of one is well over the paid for price, closer to 2.5~3m now, ferarri wanted true collectors to purchase these vehicles, not some bum who was going to turn around an make a huge proffit from it.

edit: you could have a ticket but im sure your driving record had to be reasonable. from what I understand you had to be a Ferarri enthusiast, by this meaning you likely have more than one Ferrari to be considered for lease offer.

ducati is doing the same thing with their new 200whp moto gp based street bike. You have to be an owner of a ducati 999R just to be able to buy the 60k motorcycle.
