they have those blowers now in vehicles where the owner may be on probation from a dwi. i know someone who has one.

Seems like it wouldn't be fair if any car would require this system and add to the cost. I'm all for stopping drunk drivers but I wouldn't want to pay extra money or blow into a tube to use my car. I do not drink alcohol.

This is true but the driver has to bear the cost of the installation of the device.

What they should do is give a manditory 10 day jail sentence for the first DWI and for the second your license is suspended for life.

This isn't like graffiti. It shouldn't be a slap on the wrist. Driving isn't a right.

WOW, Talk about a quick reaction. Nissan wants to make a device like this because one accident killed 3 children. How many people die every year in OUR country because of drunk drivers and what do we do about it? I'd hate to be in Japan if there was an accidental pregnancy.Jk

Samsung released a cell phone in Korea that won't call certain numbers (ex-girlfriends) if you're drunk. I have a couple friends who need one.
